I have done my fair share of volunteer work over the years but NEVER have I been able to do something as important as I am doing right now! 

On December 1^st, Eliza McKown, Peyton's BEST FRIEND, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  Her friends and family want to support her in the effort to find a cure for this disease which is estimated to affect 1 in 3 people by 2050.  Eliza has embraced this new aspect of her life with a positive attitude and our hope is that you will help to show her your support.

On June 2, Team Eliza’s Echelon (including ALL 6 UELMEN'S) will be participating in the Tour de Cure Bike Challenge.  We will be biking 27 miles in honor of Eliza and her Type 1 Diabetes. Storytime

Something I was fortunate to do with Peyton when she was little was go to the Library storytime.  I had not been able to experience it yet with the twins until Monday.  We went to the Maple Plaine Library for 10:30 storytime.  They loved it.  We read several books, sang a few songs and worked on the letter of the day.  It is a weekly must.
